MorePeople is seeking an experienced Grower for a leading UK horticultural business to own the performance of commercial protected crops in a modern glasshouse.

You will steer climate, irrigation and fertigation, using data and crop observations to optimise yield, quality and plant health while collaborating with operations, technical and production teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial protected cropping.
• Strong climate management, irrigation and fertigation knowledge.
• Experience analysing crop and environmental data.
• Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
• Previous leadership or mentoring experience in growing environments.
• Strong communication across multiple departments.
• Proactive approach and confident decision-maker.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for performance of commercial protected crops, ensuring yield, fruit quality and plant health targets.
• Use data, crop observations and technical expertise to inform climate, irrigation, nutrition and crop steering decisions.
• Collaborate with operations, technical and production teams to deliver growing programmes effectively and consistently.
