Job summary

Popeyes UK&I in Peterborough is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead from the front in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant. You’ll partner with the GM to drive sales, ensure top guest experiences, and uphold food safety and employment standards.

You’ll coach and develop the team, recruit future leaders, and maintain high energy, strong culture, and exceptional service. This role is a stepping stone to further leadership with Popeyes University development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager or Restaurant General Manager in a branded, high-volume QSR or fast-casual restaurant.
• Experience leading teams, coaching, training and honest conversations when needed.
• Track record of hitting sales targets, managing P&L, and controlling costs.

Responsibilities

• Help run the restaurant and lead the team to deliver Popeyes’ outstanding food quality, speed of service, and guest experience standards.
• Support your GM in building a winning plan and smashing performance goals.
• Ensure full team compliance with food safety (HACCP), health & safety, and employment legislation.
• Be the role model—set the tone, keep standards high, and inspire your team.
• Create a warm, inclusive space where everyone feels welcome.
• Recruit, develop and retain top talent—you’ll know how to build a dream team + pipeline future talent.
• Bring the Fun and keep the energy high, the service smooth, and the culture poppin’.
