Job summary

Everlast Gyms is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead from the front, developing high-performing teams and delivering outstanding member experiences. You will support the General Manager in achieving sales, operational standards and staff performance, while maintaining a high-energy, customer-focused environment.

The role involves coaching teams, driving revenue streams, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety across the club.

Qualifications

• Essential: Previous leadership experience within fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail.
• Essential: Strong track record of leading teams and delivering business results.
• Essential: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Essential: Commercial awareness with the ability to influence performance.
• Essential: Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Essential: Flexible approach to working patterns, including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Desirable: Level 2 Fitness Qualification.
• Desirable: Experience working within a gym, health club or leisure environment.
• Desirable: Knowledge of membership sales, retention and fitness operations.
• Desirable: Pool plant and Health & Safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing colleagues to deliver club goals.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of top talent.
• Drive revenue across memberships, personal training and add-ons.
• Create a best-in-class member experience and service standards.
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvements to profitability and efficiency.
