Job summary

Saltwater - Berwick Street is seeking an Assistant General Manager to join the opening team of a new Australian Sushi QSR. This is a ground-floor opportunity with a clear pathway to a General Manager role as part of a short term succession plan.

You will lead service, develop the team, and drive operations to deliver fast, friendly, and consistent guest experiences. Mentorship under a supportive General Manager and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume casual dining or QSR with strong food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to train, coach and motivate team members.
• Experience in operations, rostering, inventory, and cost targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead service to ensure shifts run smoothly and Saltwater standards.
• Support Operations Manager with day-to-day operations.
• Maximise sales while delivering outstanding guest experience.
• Provide mentorship and develop team culture.

Who we are looking for:

Lead Service

Previous experience in high-volume casual dining or QSR, with a strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and maintaining 5-star standards at all times.

Join an exciting new brand at the ground floor and lead by example to deliver fast, friendly, and consistent service.

Ensure every shift runs smoothly, safely, and to Saltwater standards.

Develop the Team

Train, coach, and motivate team members to perform at their best.

Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.

Drive Operations

• Support the Operations Manager with day-to-day operations, rostering, inventory, food safety, and compliance.
• Help achieve labour, stock, and cost targets while maximising sales and delivering an outstanding guest experience.
