Job summary

David Lloyd Clubs, Europe’s leading premium health and wellness group, is looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our team. You will support the General Manager to lead and operate a busy club, ensuring every member has an excellent experience daily.

The role focuses on people management, driving club targets, delivering great service, and upholding health and safety and compliance. You will help shape the guest journey and coordinate across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a large operational service delivery facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, leisure facility).
• Experience leading a variety of functions with variable challenges and goals, or across multiple departments.
• Experience of financial planning and management.
• Passionate about customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and operate a DL Club to deliver an excellent member experience every day, 7 days a week.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to implement strategies that drive club targets and member satisfaction.
• Ensure day-to-day health & safety and compliance, and uphold company standards across all club operations.
• Coordinate across departments to support smooth and efficient club performance.

Assistant General Managers are people-focused and have full accountability in leading and operating a successful DL Club and giving our members an excellent experience every day, 7 days a week.

You will work closely with the General Manager to implement strategies to drive club targets and member experience, alongside ensuring a smooth operation making sure day to day health & safety and compliance regulations are adhered to for everyone in the club.

• Has experience managing a large operational service delivery facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility).
• Experience leading a variety of functions with variable challenges and goals, or across variable depts.
• Experience of financial planning and management.
• Passionate about customer service.
