Assistant Front Office Manager (Maternity Cover), Full Time

The Kingsley by Thistle is a classic Edwardian hotel, near Covent Garden, Holborn and Oxford Street. The Kingsley has been awarded 4-star status and has 129 bedrooms and seven meeting rooms. The team is relatively small and close-knit in keeping with the property's combination of modern comforts and historic charm.

The Role

Are you a manager who puts your team and our guests at the heart of your business? Who really listens to and focuses on their needs? Can you take support the Front Office team and to ensure every guest has an exceptional experience? If you answered yes, then we want to hear from you. As Assistant Front Office Manager you will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and a track record of delivering results through your people. You will support the Front Office Manager and help manage Reception, Guest Relations and Nights, and work closely with all other departments to ensure guests have a seamless experience. You will be passionate about delivering a world class guest experience and will be happy to take the lead in training and developing your team. You will also be driving sales, working to budgets and dealing with challenging guest issues, while coaching and mentoring your team.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, client and staff at all levels
  • Experience of delivering training using company guidelines
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to achieve and set standards and operate to performance
  • Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate
  • Self-motivated, able to make decisions and react to sudden changes in operation
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
