Opening soon, Courtyard by Marriott Sheffield is a brand-new 150-bedroom hotel located between Sheffield and Rotherham. A Day in the Life of a Front Office Supervisor at Our Hotel

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the front desk team with a friendly, proactive approach, ensuring every guest feels welcome and cared for from arrival to departure.
  • Managing front desk operations smoothly, handling check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries efficiently.
  • Providing guidance, training, and support to front desk agents to uphold high standards and foster a positive environment.
  • Addressing guest requests and challenges confidently, turning interactions into positive experiences.
  • Coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room availability and guest satisfaction.
  • Overseeing reservations, check-ins, billing accuracy, and maintaining organized guest accounts.
  • Participating in shift planning and scheduling to ensure the front desk is well-prepared.
  • Taking ownership of the department in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
  • Handling duty management and overseeing daily hotel operations.
  • Maintaining a welcoming, professional front desk environment to enhance guest experiences.
What We Need From You
  • A people-person with front desk or guest services experience, and some leadership skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a natural problem-solver, ready to handle busy periods.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, especially with reservations and billing.
  • Team-focused, creating a positive environment for colleagues and guests.
  • Decisive and confident in making quick decisions.
  • Energetic and adaptable, thriving in a fast-paced, guest-facing role.
