Nestlé Halifax Factory is seeking an Assistant Factory Financial Controller to provide comprehensive financial support to the factory and the Factory Financial Controller. You will drive cost improvements, forecast, and report on factory processes, contributing to robust internal controls and efficient plant performance.
The role requires a part or fully qualified accountant with manufacturing finance experience, strong costing skills, and excellent communication.
Salary circa £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience plus potential bonus + fantastic benefits inc pension/ 25 days holiday + additional 12 days flex days, flexible working, and study support.

Nestlé Halifax Factory is home of the iconic confectionery brand Quality Street amongst other well-known brands such as After Eight, Rolo, Munchies and Matchmakers. These are produced through controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. You willbe responsible forproviding acomprehensive financial support service both to and onbehalf of the factory and the FactoryFinancial Controller. You’llplay a key part in providingvisibilityof all costing related situations associated to ourfactory processesthroughcontrolling variances anddelivering value adding insights.You’lldo this pro-actively and in line with financial legal requirements andourNestlé audit standards.
Other key responsibilities:
To be successful for this role you will be a part or fully qualified Accountant with, ideally a breadth of Finance experiencein a manufacturing environment already under your belt.You’llhave a strong aptitude forcreatively finding solutions to problems and suggesting new ways of working to enable the factory to compete at a higher level.
You’ll have an excellent eye for detail and understand how your decisions impact the wider business strategy. Prior costing or factory accounting experience would be an added advantage. You’ll also have great communication skills that enable you to influence across all levels whilst being able to develop positive cross business relationships. The ability to be flexible when prioritising work in an environment that is very often ambiguous is crucial and you’ll be results focused and curious in everything you do.
