Venn Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading higher education institution in Central London for an Assistant Facilities Operations Manager. You will lead day-to-day Soft FM services across a multi-site university estate, influencing the experience of students, staff and visitors.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day delivery of Soft FM services (Front of House, Cleaning, Portering, Waste, Grounds, Catering).
• Manage contractors and service providers; monitor KPIs and SLAs for quality delivery.
• Build relationships with university stakeholders; be point of contact for operations.
• Support regulatory compliance, health and safety, and service excellence.
• Deputise for Facilities Operations Manager and participate in Duty Manager rota.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance the campus experience.

Assistant Facilities Operations Manager – Central London – Competitive Salary

Venn Group's specialist Estates & Facilities recruitment team is recruiting for an Assistant Facilities Operations Manager on behalf of a leading higher education institution in Central London. This permanent opportunity offers the chance to lead diverse Soft FM services across a multi–site university estate and directly influence the experience of students, staff and visitors.

The role

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the day–to–day delivery of Soft FM services including Front of House, Cleaning, Portering, Waste Management, Grounds Maintenance and Catering


• Managing contractors and service providers, monitoring KPIs and SLAs to ensure high–quality service delivery


• Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the university and acting as a key point of contact for operational matters


• Supporting operational compliance, health and safety standards, and campus service excellence


• Deputising for the Facilities Operations Manager and participating in a Duty Manager rota


• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to enhance the campus experience

About you

• Experience managing Facilities Management or Soft FM services within a complex operational environment


• Proven people management experience, including team leadership, performance management and staff development


• Strong contract management and supplier performance monitoring experience


• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship–building skills


• Budget management and operational planning experience


• Strong problem–solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast–paced environment


• Customer–focused approach with a commitment to delivering high–quality services
