Job summary

Jobtailor in United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Distribution/Transport Manager to oversee a high-volume transport operation and deputise for the Distribution Manager as required.

You will lead a team of shift managers, team leaders and clerks, ensuring compliance with transport legislation, licensing, and safety standards while driving efficiency across planning, compliance and warehouse functions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 3PL transport environment.
• Proven experience leading teams in fast-paced operations.
• Strong knowledge of transport compliance, including WTD, tachographs, and O-licence requirements.
• Organised, proactive and resilient.
• Experience developing people with a structured and detail-focused approach.
• International CPC Qualification desirable.

Requirements

• Previous experience within a 3PL transport environment
• Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced operation
• Strong understanding of transport compliance, including WTD, digital tachographs, and operator licence requirements
• Highly organised, proactive and resilient
• Experience developing people with a structured and detail-focused approach
• International CPC qualification desirable as there may be a requirement to be on the O License in the future
