Job description

Join to apply for the Assistant Contract Manager role at Royal Mail.

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum (dependent on experience), with a potential 6% bonus and 22.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent position. Remote, nationwide with UK travel required.

About the Role

Supporting data management and analysis across the commercial function, primarily dealing with waste and recycling contracts to reduce, reuse, or recycle volumes.

Accountabilities
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis and reporting.
  • Monitor trends and improve data systems.
  • Enhance waste data presentation for better decision-making.
  • Collaborate with providers for analysis and cost reduction.
  • Perform UK-wide site audits to drive improvements.
  • Become the waste data subject matter expert.
  • Engage stakeholders and build relationships with third-party providers.
  • Participate in group discussions to support company strategies.
Location

Remote UK-based role, with 4-5 site audits per month across the UK. A full UK driving licence and ability to travel extensively are essential.

About You

You should demonstrate:

  • A Numerate Degree or relevant NVQ level 5 qualification.
  • Experience in detailed data handling in a corporate environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with analytical software for reporting.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Desirable: Sector-specific knowledge in waste and recycling management.
  • Experience in contract management, ideally in FM/waste sectors.
  • Ability to identify improvements and implement change.
  • Skills in working with third parties to manage data.
