Job Title: Team Lead / Assistant Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead / Assistant Contracts Manager to supervise a team of Grounds Maintenance operatives around the Bedford, Bedfordshire area.

You will need a full UK Driving Licence, but a Company Vehicle is provided.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to deliver the service level agreement and associated service specifications.
  2. Conduct regular reviews of sites to ensure teams are delivering the service specifications.
  3. Support Continual Professional Development (CPD) of all colleagues through the Skills Development Programme and formal qualifications.
  4. Coach, lead, direct, and performance manage colleagues.
  5. Develop, build, and strengthen client and resident relationships.
  6. Ensure service teams are compliant with Health and Safety and Quality business practices.
  7. Ensure all service teams receive an effective update each week.
  8. Develop measures to motivate all colleagues.
  9. Ensure we are exceeding and leading the way in truly exceptional customer service delivery.
  10. Support clients in the development of Apprenticeship, work placement, resident employment, and training schemes.
  11. In the absence of the Contracts Manager, you will be expected to deliver all aspects of the contracts manager job description.
What are we looking for?
  • Full, Clean UK Driving Licence (Manual).
  • Prior experience of leading or supervising Grounds Maintenance teams desirable.
  • Prior experience of managing customer relationships.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organisational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • IT literate (use of tablet, smartphone apps).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written (English).
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements / safe working practices.
