Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Bath is seeking an experienced Assistant Catering Manager to lead the site’s catering and hospitality teams. You will work with the school operations manager to ensure daily food service and events meet high standards across breakfast, lunch, dinner and functions.

The role requires budgeting accountability, staff leadership, and a strong customer service ethos. You will manage day-to-day operations during term-time and beyond, with on-site parking and a 5-from-7 shift

Qualifications

• Experience leading a catering/food service team.
• Ability to manage budgets and meet financial targets.
• Strong customer service focus with excellent communication.
• Proven ability to work in a dynamic school/catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the catering team for day-to-day production and service at the Bath site.
• Deliver client-agreed budgets and the company annual budget.
• Develop and implement dining and hospitality facilities to high standards.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safeguarding procedures.
• Direct day-to-day operations across the site year-round.
• Motivate staff to deliver standards and service excellence.
