Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking an experienced Assistant Cafe Manager to oversee all catering and service operations for a major High Street brand on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week. You will ensure kitchens and service counters run smoothly while delivering exceptional food experiences and world-class customer service.

You will lead from the front, train teams, manage inventories and budgets, handle tills and payments, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage teams and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Liaising between the team and manager to ensure we continually exceed expectations.
• Motivating the team to keep everyone on task.
• Assisting the manager with inventories, budgets and action plans.
• Managing the tills and processing payments.
• Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to excel in their role.
• Assisting with paperwork when required.
• Representing Compass Group UK&I and maintaining a positive brand image.
