Compass Group UK&I is seeking an experienced Assistant Cafe Manager to oversee a major High Street brand’s catering and service operations, contracted to 40 hours per week. You will ensure confident running of kitchens and service counters and help deliver exceptional food experiences, with opportunities to progress within a people-focused organisation.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a proactive approach to inventories, budgets, and training.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar hospitality/food service role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication with customers and staff.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth kitchen and service counters.
• Lead and motivate the team, maintaining high service standards.
• Assist with inventories, budgets and action plans.
• Manage tills and processing of payments.
• Provide training and support to team members.
• Handle paperwork as required and maintain brand image.
