Assistant Buyer - Brands Footwear Lets Take it On 33000 - 45000 Enderby Head Office

About the Role

The role involves developing a commercially successful product range by building strong relationships with suppliers and analysing data to plan across all categories. Collaboration across multiple areas of the business. Working with the Buyer and wider team to plan buy and trade in season product ranges delivered by brand mix.

Responsibilities
  • Managing specific brand ownership and forging strong relationships with brand partners.
  • Working to improve the online customer shopping experience for brands ensuring product is represented to the highest online standards to drive sales and website optimisation keeping the Next customer engaged with brands.
  • Supporting opportunities to market the brands in conjunction with marketing and e-commerce teams within Next.
  • Identifying seasonal fashion trends ahead of buying appointments and reacting in season to trend shifts to maximise fashionability of branded product ranges. Regularly keeping up to date with fashion trends in the market throughout the season.
  • Working with the Buyer to identify new brands; recruit and support the on-boarding of these brands into the business.
  • Maintaining smooth running of the department overall ensuring product launch process and systems are kept up to date in line with critical path.

Working as part of a dynamic and experienced team this role is a great opportunity to join a key part of Next Brands team with a focus on Footwear. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer who is passionate and hardworking and who will play a pivotal part in our continued growth and development. You will be working on our Branded category covering Footwear so a similar background would be ideal! You'll be joining the Brands buying team offering them key support for the buying developing and reviewing of seasonal ranges from the brand mix in the department. You'll have key responsibilities at every stage of the process starting from selecting Product in buying meetings to trading the ranges in season to maximise sales opportunities considering everything from market shifts to new and emerging fashion trends. You'll be responsible for accurately maintaining product systems and ensuring critical dates and deadlines are met. You'll also build productive and strong relationships with the brands as well as provide support and development opportunities to Trainees in your team.

Your Team

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Buyer to join the team with a particular focus on Footwear. This team is full of industry experts who live and breathe all things Brands! Our Branded team has years of experience in the industry! This role will be a platform for an experienced self motivated Assistant Buyer to embrace the challenge of starting and nurturing a successful and very fast paced department from the start. You will be responsible for planning and buying the product delivering agreed KPIs for sales markdown and profit. The job would be based in our Enderby office Leicester.
