Job summary

Ardencote Hotel & Spa is seeking an experienced Assistant Bars Manager to lead our bar operation, support the team and deliver exceptional guest experiences across our venues in Warwickshire.

You will work closely with the Bars Manager to lead shifts, develop staff, maintain high standards and drive commercial success through promotions and cost control. The role emphasises safety, SOPs and teamwork in a busy hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy bar, hospitality or Food & Beverage environment.
• Must enjoy leading, motivating and developing others.
• Must be able to deliver memorable guest experiences.
• Must stay calm, organized and positive during busy services.
• Understand the importance of standards, safety and attention to detail.
• Have a commercial mindset and handle sales, stock and costs.
• Must be a great communicator and supportive team player.
• Enjoy finding ways to improve guest experience and operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and develop the team to maintain high service standards.
• Support inductions, probation reviews and performance conversations.
• Oversee pre-shift briefings, SOPs and duty management.
• Monitor stock, costs and payroll; drive revenue through promotions.
• Ensure bars are clean, safe and compliant with health and safety rules.
