Job summary

SF Partners is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join its Nottingham head office. The role offers broad exposure within a supportive finance team and scope to develop accounting skills.

You will assist with day-to-day finance tasks, including expenses processing, ledger posting, reconciliations and support across accounts payable/receivable, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accounts or finance department.
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
• Good time management and prioritisation.
• Proactive and self-sufficient approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage stock and expense-related balance sheet processes.
• Process expenses and company credit card transactions.
• Support supplier statement reconciliations and aged payables.
• Assist with ledger cleansing and intercompany journals.
• Post to the general ledger and cashbook.
• Complete bank reconciliations across multiple companies.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and AP/AR cover.
• Assist with finance projects and process improvements.
