Job summary

SF Partners is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join our Nottingham team on a permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working with 2 days from home and study support to help you progress, along with a defined progression path.

You will assist with monthly management accounts, reconciliations, invoicing, VAT returns, and intercompany tasks. Ideally you are studying AAT and eager to develop further with support from the business.

Qualifications

• Studying AAT and looking to continue.
• Some experience in Month/Year-end duties (Bank/Balance Sheet Recs/Month/Year-End Journals/Fixed Asset).
• Team-oriented with good attention to detail and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with production of monthly management accounts.
• Balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments.
• Monthly revenue invoicing, analysis of receivables and credit control.
• Processing of purchase invoices and supplier payments.
• Bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
• Assist with monthly KPI reporting and VAT returns.
• Intercompany reconciliations and annual statutory accounts support.
• Assist with audits as required.

Job duties:

• Assist with Production of the monthly management accounts.
• Balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments.
• Monthly revenue invoicing, analysis of receivables and credit control.
• Processing of purchase invoices.
• Processing and ensuring payments to suppliers are actioned in a timely manner.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Cash reporting.
• Assist with the monthly KPI reporting.
• Production of quarterly VAT Returns.
• Quarterly intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with Production of the annual statutory accounts, complying with IFRS/ FRS 102 reporting.
• Assist with Audit as required.
• Contribute, or otherwise assist, as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
