Job summary

SF Partners is seeking an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join a fast-paced Nottingham-based finance team. This role offers hybrid working (4 days in the office, 1 day WFH) and exposure across management accounting while supporting the Finance Director.

The ideal candidate has about 2–4 years in finance, is studying toward an accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), and is proficient in Excel to contribute to monthly packs and key reporting with opportunities for progression and

Qualifications

• Studying towards an accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA
• 2-4 years' experience in finance
• Experience in management accounting and reporting packs
• Proficient in Excel and financial modelling

Responsibilities

• Producing the monthly reporting pack under the supervision of the Finance Director
• Preparing and posting journals and supporting the wider month-end process
• Owning the credit control process
• Processing internal payroll, with review from the FD
• Managing the contractor pay and bill process
• Running accounts payable
• Responding to finance-related queries from the sales team
• Dealing with external queries relating to invoices and suppliers
• Supporting cash flow management by ensuring key financial information remains accurate and up to date
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to make the finance function more efficient
• Taking ownership of your workload and working with a good level of independence
• Leading internal meetings and confidently communicating with stakeholders across the business
