Job summary

Avanti West Coast in Glasgow is seeking a Train Manager to join the On Board team, ensuring a safe, customer-focused environment and delivering first‑class service on every journey.

You will check and sell tickets, guide customers, and act as a brand ambassador while upholding safety standards and delivering friendly information across the train. This role requires readiness for safety testing and a strict medical.

Qualifications

• Must live within 60 minutes of Glasgow depot.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for everyone on-board.
• Champion of Customer Service whilst always maintaining visibility throughout the train
• Be an ambassador of Avanti West Coast and always maintain professional image whilst on duty.
• Provide friendly journey information and a positive sales message to Customers throughout the train.
• Provide a train side welcome to customers, particularly paying attention to those with special needs, elderly customers, children, and customers with heavy luggage.
