Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher to work full-time in a Wakefield secondary school on a long-term basis. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, cover supervisors, youth workers, or individuals with experience working with young people who want classroom experience before teacher training.

You will deliver lessons, manage classes, and support student learning under guidance from experienced staff and school leaders.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification (desirable).
• Experience with young people in education, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar settings.
• Confident leading a classroom and engaging students.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students to remain engaged and on task.
