Qualifications

• Experience working with young people through education, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or a similar environment.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Comfortable leading groups and taking responsibility for a classroom.
• A calm, professional, and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4 using school and departmental resources.
• Lead whole-class learning when covering for the usual classroom teacher.
• Create a calm, structured, and positive classroom environment.
• Set clear expectations and manage behaviour consistently.
• Encourage students to remain focused, motivated, and actively involved in their learning.
• Provide appropriate support and encouragement to help students make progress.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and work effectively with teaching and support staff.
• Support the wider school community through enrichment, interventions, and school activities where appropriate.
