Brett Group is seeking an Assistant/Trainee Recycling Manager for our busy operation in the Staines area. Reporting to the Recycling Manager, you will help run the site safely and efficiently while learning operational leadership in a fast-paced recycling environment.

This hands-on role offers progression into management, with exposure to planning, performance monitoring and cross-functional collaboration across Commercial, Transport and Technical teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in recycling, waste management, aggregates, quarrying or similar operational environment.
• Aspiring leader looking to develop through hands-on site management.
• Willingness to learn site administration, record keeping and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Assist in driving continuous improvement through planning, organisation and monitoring.
• Develop understanding of all aspects of the operation through hands-on site work.
• Monitor incoming waste streams and liaise with departments on quality and compliance.
• Promote a positive SHEQ culture and uphold company standards.
• Lead by example and set high standards for staff and contractors.
• Build relationships with colleagues across Commercial, Transport, Technical and support functions.
• Support utilisation of people, plant and equipment to maximise performance.
• Assist with site records, reporting requirements and performance monitoring.
• Contribute to development of processes and site efficiencies.
