Job summary

Ruth Wagstaff Recruitment Ltd is seeking a locum aseptic Pharmacy Technician to join the Production Unit at Glan Clywd Hospital. You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and have experience in aseptic manipulation and preparation.

Responsibilities include aseptic preparation of chemotherapy, parenteral nutrition, CIVAS, extemporaneous doses and radiopharmaceuticals, supervising junior staff, and deputising for the Senior Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications

• You will be required to have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician, and hold previous experience of working within a Production Unit, including aseptic manipulation and preparation.

Responsibilities

• Aseptic manipulation and preparation of a range of products to meet our service demands, including Chemotherapy, Parental Nutrition, CIVAS, extemporaneous doses and Radiopharmaceuticals.
• Supervision and coordination of junior support staff and technicians.
• Completing sessions of pre-process checking, where attention to detail and accuracy skills are paramount.
• Deputising where applicable for the Senior Pharmacy Technician.
