Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to join the Aseptic Unit at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. You will contribute to high‑quality, safe, and efficient pharmacy services for adults and children, including preparation of systemic anti-cancer therapy and other aseptically prepared medicines.

You will support training and supervision of pharmacy support workers, provide patient‑centred care, and work within a well‑governed unit.

Qualifications

• Registration with the GPhC as a UK Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out aseptic unit activities: preparation of SACT, PN, IV additives, and related medicines.
• Support training and supervision of pharmacy support workers.
• Provide efficient, patient-centred care and support.
