Job summary

North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant (Aseptic Services) to support the safe and accurate preparation of specialised injectable medicines in a GMP cleanroom. Based at the University Hospital of North Tees, you will work within a multidisciplinary aseptic team to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role involves aseptic preparation and in-process checking of chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition products, ensuring compliance with SOPs.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths/English/Science grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Science Manufacturing Process Operative Level 2 or equivalent.
• Desirable: Previous training in aseptic services.

Responsibilities

• Aseptically prepare and check medicines in a cleanroom environment.
• Perform cleaning of all areas of the production unit, complying with GMP and SOPs.
• Assemble, disinfect and transfer ingredients and disposables through the aseptic unit.
• Maintain dexterity for manipulation of pharmaceutical products.
• Record and document activities using Ascribe and other systems.
• Support stock management and ordering to maintain continuity of service.
