Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant for the Aseptic Unit in Preston. The role involves preparing a range of injectable medicines under GMP in clean rooms, with specialist equipment and strict hygiene standards.

No prior pharmacy experience is required as full training is provided. You will join a dedicated team, develop literacy, numeracy and dexterity, and may work one evening per week plus bank holidays on a rota.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Dexterity to handle syringes and needles for accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

• Communicate routine information effectively about sterile product manufacture.
• Support quality assurance with technical and analytical skills.
• Follow a flexible work plan to support changing priorities in the department.
• Operate aseptic production and office equipment; move and handle equipment.
• Contribute to error monitoring.
• Adhere to GMP and SOPs in aseptic manufacture including gowning, cleaning, labeling, measuring and compounding.
