Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Aseptic Production Technician to join Basildon Hospital's Pharmacy Technical Services. You will co-ordinate chemotherapy supply, assist in aseptic compounding, and support staff training and GMP compliance.

The role offers leadership duties in the absence of the unit lead, with a focus on safe, accurate preparation of aseptic products and high-quality patient care. A background in aseptic production and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 Pharmacy Services, BTEC in pharmaceutical sciences SMT, Science degree or SMT qualification.
• Experience in aseptic environment post-qualification and ability to train others.
• Registered with the GPhC or Science Council or SMT ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate the supply of chemotherapy to the day unit.
• Provide information to nurses/doctors on patient doses and treatments.
• Participate in monthly team meetings and GMP training rota.
• Assist in compounding all aseptic preparations and relevant documentation.
