Job summary

North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to join the Hospital Pharmacy Team. The role involves dispensing medicines, ward-based services, and store activities to ensure safe, timely delivery of medicines to patients.

The post will primarily operate between University Hospital North Tees and University Hospital Hartlepool, with potential to work across sites within the Tees Group. Training on ASCribe, EMIS and Omnicell will be provided.

Qualifications

• Dispensing qualification required.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Familiarity with EMIS/ASCribe systems and robotics.
• Strong stock control and ward service skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions and ward orders following SOPs.
• Use ASCribe/Emis and robotics for dispensing accuracy.
• Carry out ward-based dispensing and stock checks.
• Support pharmacy stores, homecare, and Omnicell cycle counts.
