Job summary

One Retail, part of Compass Group UK&I, manages the ASDA Skelton café in a busy retail setting. We are seeking an experienced Café Manager to lead operations, drive customer service and ensure day-to-day excellence in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

The role is fixed-term for 12 months maternity cover, offering £28,800 per year for a 40-hour week, with responsibilities spanning team leadership, budget control and compliance with food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in cafe/retail/catering environments.
• Experience leading catering/front-of-house teams.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Capable of managing budgets, stock and KPIs.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene and catering qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

We're recruiting an experienced and passionate Café Manager to lead the ASDA café operation in Skelton This is a hands-on role for a strong leader who can deliver excellent customer service and smooth day-to-day operations in a busy retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth daily operations across the café

About You

• Passionate about customer service
• Experience managing teams in a café, retail, or catering environment
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Able to manage financials, stock, and performance targets
• Level 2 Food Hygiene and relevant catering qualifications (desirable)
• A motivated, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment
