Job summary

TimePlan Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants for a Sutton-based school with a specialist ASD base. This full-time, long-term role involves 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils access the curriculum and develop socially and emotionally.

Previous SEND experience is essential; candidates with ASD experience are particularly encouraged. The post requires safeguarding checks (DBS) and a commitment to pupil welfare.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND is essential.
• Experience working with pupils with ASD is advantageous.
• Understanding of supporting additional needs within education or care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD within the specialist provision.
• Support pupils to access learning, engage in lessons, and achieve individual targets.
• Implement EHCPs and personalised support strategies to meet students' needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' social and emotional development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
