Job summary

Senploy is recruiting an ASD Teaching Assistant to join a SEN/Secondary school in Greenwich. You will support pupils with autism across Maths, English and Science, working 1:1 and in small groups to help them access the curriculum and build confidence.

The ideal candidate has experience with ASD or SEN, a calm and resilient approach, strong communication and behaviour management skills, and a genuine passion for helping pupils succeed in their studies.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with ASD or SEN in a secondary setting.
• Strong knowledge of core subjects (Maths, English, Science).
• Ability to adapt resources for individual learning needs.
• Demonstrates patience, resilience and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with autism and additional learning needs.
• Provide academic support across Maths, English and Science.
• Work 1:1 and in small groups to access the curriculum.
• Break down tasks and adapt resources for individual needs.
• Support communication, confidence, engagement and emotional regulation.
• Help pupils stay focused and develop independence.
• Assist with behaviour management and monitor progress with staff.
