Job summary

Senploy is seeking an ASD Teaching Assistant for a Secondary SEN school in Greenwich. You will join a high needs ASD class supporting 6-10 pupils, many non-verbal, with communication, learning, sensory regulation and daily development.

Experience with Makaton, PECS or similar approaches is highly desirable, and you will work with the class teacher and two other TAs to provide consistent, individualized support throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Experience with ASD teaching and supporting non-verbal pupils.
• Familiarity with Makaton, PECS or similar communication strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support approximately 6-10 pupils in a high needs ASD class.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants to deliver individualized support.
• Help pupils access learning, develop communication skills and manage sensory/emotional needs.
