Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking an ASD Teaching Assistant for a Secondary SEN school in Greenwich. You will support a high needs ASD class of around 6-10 pupils, many non-verbal, helping with communication, learning and daily independence.

Ideal candidates will have experience with Makaton/PECS or similar ASD approaches and be patient, resilient, and able to work with the team across the school day.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Experience using Makaton, PECS or other ASD communication approaches.
• Able to travel to Greenwich five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Support approximately 6-10 pupils in a high needs ASD class.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and two other Teaching Assistants to provide consistent, individualised support.
• Help pupils access learning and develop communication, sensory regulation and day-to-day independence.
