Academics Agency is recruiting ASD Teaching Assistants to join our team across Sheffield's specialist schools. This is a great opportunity to be the reason a child smiles, learns, and believes in themselves.

You will support pupils with autism and related needs, adapt lessons, and work with teachers to track progress. DBS checked or willing to obtain one; you bring calm, patience, and a passion to help every child succeed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and families to track progress and EHCPs.

YOUR MISSION (SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT):

• Be their champion - supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, building confidence and core skills.
• Think on your feet - adapting lessons, resources, and approaches to fit each unique learner.
• Turn behaviour into progress - using positive, tailored strategies that build self-esteem and engagement.
• Collaborate like a pro - working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and families to track progress and shape EHCPs.
• Embrace every challenge - from sensory sensitivities to speech delays, you'll meet each child where they are and take them further.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Qualified or experienced - Level 3 TA or equivalent experience in education, childcare, or health settings.
• SEN-savvy - you've supported children with additional needs and know how to adapt, connect, and inspire.
• Calm under pressure - patient, flexible, and solution-focused when things get tricky.
• DBS-ready - Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or happy to get one if required.
• Reference-perfect - two strong professional references.
