Job summary

Academics Agency is recruiting ASD Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible across Sheffield's specialist schools. This is more than a job—it’s a chance to help children smile, succeed and believe in themselves.

You'll support pupils with ASD, ADHD and communication needs, adapting approaches to fit each learner, and collaborating with teachers and families to track progress. Term-time, weekly pay, and CPD are provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified or experienced Level 3 TA or equivalent in education, childcare, or health settings.
• SEN-savvy with ability to adapt, connect and inspire learners.
• Calm under pressure; patient, flexible and solution-focused when challenged.
• DBS-ready or willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
• Two strong professional references.

Responsibilities

• Be their champion, supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Adapt lessons, resources and approaches for each learner.
• Turn behaviour into progress with positive, tailored strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and families to track progress and shape EHCPs.
• Support across sensory needs to speech delays for every child.
