Job summary

Academics Agency is seeking exceptional SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Sheffield across specialist schools. You will provide in-class support for pupils with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, and run targeted interventions to boost academic skills and social confidence.

Join a dedicated team with a focus on emotional regulation, positive engagement, and flexible placements. DBS-ready and references required, with weekly pay and term-time schedules.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification or substantial equivalent experience in education, childcare, or health settings.
• Experience with SEN in schools, residential care, or community programmes.
• DBS-ready or willing to obtain DBS quickly.
• Two recent, strong professional references.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR (DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?):

• Level 3 TA qualified-or with substantial equivalent experience in education, childcare, or health settings.
• Proven SEN experience-whether in schools, residential care, or community programmes. You've seen the challenges, and you rise to them.
• Skilled in differentiation, visual supports, and assistive tech-you know the tools and when to use them.
• Patient, adaptable, and solution-focused-with the communication skills to build trust with pupils, staff, and families alike.
• DBS-ready-an active Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to obtain one fast.
• Reference-perfect-with two recent, strong professional references.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
