Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor for roles in Birmingham, working with a well-established UKAS-accredited consultancy. You will carry out asbestos surveys across various client sites, ensuring compliance with HSG264 and current legislation, while managing your workload and coordinating with clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate holds BOHS P402, has UKAS experience, a full driving licence, and excellent report-writing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402 qualification (essential).
• Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor in a UKAS-accredited consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of HSG264 and current asbestos legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform Management and Refurbishment & Demolition asbestos surveys per HSG264.
• Take bulk asbestos samples across various property types.
• Produce accurate, compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Work across commercial, industrial, domestic, and public sector sites.
• Manage own workload and daily schedule efficiently.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with asbestos legislation and HSE guidance.
