Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to support a busy Yorkshire workload across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and public sector sites.

The role combines surveying and analytical duties, performing R&D surveys, air monitoring, 4-stage clearances, bulk sampling, and delivering accurate reports while complying with HSG264/HSG248 and current legislation.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 & P404 (essential).
• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst.
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation.
• Confident carrying out 4-stage clearances and air monitoring independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Professional, organised, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management, Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Undertaking air monitoring, leak testing, reassurance testing, and 4-stage clearances in accordance with HSG248.
• Conducting bulk sampling and ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Working across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and public sector properties.
• Managing your own workload across Yorkshire with support from an established operations team.
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and other site personnel.
• Ensuring all work complies with current legislation, HSE guidance, and company procedures.
