Penguin Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be supporting a UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in their search for an experienced Asbestos Surveyor Analyst to join their team in Glasgow.

This dual-role covers surveying and analytical duties across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential and public sector properties, with responsibilities including R&D surveys to HSG264, air testing, sampling and producing compliant reports, while managing your own diary.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402/P403/P404 essential qualifications.
• Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of HSG264 and HSG248.
• Understanding of current asbestos legislation.
• Experience in a UKAS-accredited consultancy desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Undertaking air monitoring and four-stage clearances per HSG248.
• Carrying out reassurance, leak, background and personal air testing.
• Bulk asbestos sampling across various property types.
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Working across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential and public sector sites.
• Managing your own diary and workload effectively.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams; ensuring compliance with asbestos legislation and UKAS procedures.

The Role

• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures

About You

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential)

• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst

• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation

• Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable

• Confident managing a field-based workload independently

• Strong communication and report-writing skills

• Full UK driving licence

• Professional, organised, and reliable approach to work
