Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is supporting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in London to recruit an experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst. You will perform surveys and analytical duties across diverse properties and ensure compliance with HSG264, HSG248 and UKAS procedures.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential).
• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst.
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264.
• Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, reassurance testing, leak testing, and smoke testing in accordance with HSG248.
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across various properties.
• Managing workload efficiently across multiple client sites.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensuring compliance with asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a range of client sites throughout London.

Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst will deliver high:quality surveying and analytical services while ensuring full compliance with HSG264, HSG248, current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment and Demolition (R and D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264

• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures

What Were Looking For

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential)
• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation
• Experience working within a UKAS:accredited consultancy is desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report:writing skills
• Professional, reliable, and quality:focused approach to work
