Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor Analyst to join a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in Glasgow. The role covers surveying and analytical duties across diverse properties, with a balanced mix of fieldwork and reporting, in Glasgow and the Central Belt.

Ideal candidates hold BOHS P402/403/404 qualifications, enjoy structured workloads, and have opportunities for long-term career development within an established consultancy.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential).
• Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys per HSG264.
• Undertake air monitoring and four-stage clearance per HSG248.
• Perform reassurance, leak, background and personal air testing.
• Collect bulk asbestos samples across various property types.
• Prepare accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Work across commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, residential and public sector sites.
• Manage your diary and workload effectively.
• Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance and UKAS procedures.

The Role

About You

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential)


• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst


• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation


• Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable


• Confident managing a field-based workload independently


• Strong communication and report-writing skills


• Full UK driving licence


• Professional, organised, and reliable approach to work
