Penguin Recruitment is assisting a well-established UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy in finding an experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to cover Glasgow and the surrounding region. The role blends surveying with analytical duties across commercial, domestic and public sector sites, with strong career progression and a supportive team.

You will perform surveys, air monitoring, sampling, and reporting while ensuring compliance with current legislation and guidance. Driving licence required.

Qualifications

Essential BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications.
Experience as a dual Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst is required.
Solid knowledge of HSG264 and HSG248 guidance and current asbestos legislation.
Full UK driving licence is essential.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Organised and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition asbestos surveys per HSG264.
Undertake air monitoring and 4-stage clearance certifications per HSG248.
Perform bulk asbestos sampling and compile compliant reports.
Produce accurate asbestos survey and analytical reports.
Manage workloads across multiple client sites.
Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and internal teams.
Maintain high health and safety standards and regulatory compliance.

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst, you will carry out a genuine split of surveying and analytical work across a diverse portfolio of client sites throughout Glasgow and the surrounding region.

Working independently and as part of an experienced team, you will deliver high-quality asbestos services while ensuring full compliance with current legislation and industry guidance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
Undertaking air monitoring, including 4-stage clearances and reoccupation certification in line with HSG248
Conducting bulk asbestos sampling and ensuring compliance with company procedures
Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports
Managing workloads across multiple client sites
Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Maintaining high standards of health & safety and ensuring compliance with current asbestos legislation and HSE guidance
