Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking an Area Swim Manager to lead and oversee our swimming programmes across the South Somerset contract. You will manage pool programmes and swim schools at multiple centres, ensuring high standards and community-friendly experiences.

This role blends Swim Program Management with Swim Teaching, requires Level 2 Teaching Aquatics and travel between sites to support centres.

Qualifications

• Design, maintain, monitor and report on a financially viable swimming lesson programme.
• Ensure smooth administrative running of the swim school.
• Organise and communicate the swimming teacher rota to cover all lessons.
• Assist in recruitment of swimming teachers.
• Must hold Level 2 Teaching Aquatics.
• Mobility to travel across sites within the contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire swimming programmes across the South Somerset contract.
• Develop Learn to Swim programme and optimise pool space.
• Build relationships with Groups, Clubs and Schools in the local area.
• Strategic workforce development and team guidance.
