Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking an Area Swim Manager to lead and inspire our swimming programs across the South Somerset contract. You’ll oversee pool programmes at Chard Leisure Centre, Goldenstones, Trinity Sports and Leisure, and Wincanton Sports Centre, blending program management with swim teaching and staff development.

You’ll design and monitor a viable Learn to Swim framework, recruit and coordinate swim teachers, manage teacher rotas, and travel across sites.

Qualifications

• Design, maintain, monitor and report back on a financially viable swimming lesson programme.
• Organise and communicate the swimming teacher rota.
• Organise the work carried out by swimming teachers.
• Assist in recruitment of swimming teachers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Learn to Swim programme development.
• Develop relationships with groups, clubs and schools locally.
• Ensure pool space is optimised and cohorts progress through the framework.
• Provide strategic workforce development for the contract.
