Job summary

Freedom Leisure is recruiting an Area Swim Manager to lead and inspire our swimming programmes across the South Somerset contract. You will oversee pool programmes, swim schools and Learn to Swim, ensuring a high-quality experience for the community.

You will manage the team, design the lesson framework, recruit teachers and develop relationships with local clubs and schools, while traveling between centres to provide support and guidance as needed.

Qualifications

• Design, maintain, monitor and report on a financially viable swimming lesson programme.
• Organise and communicate the swimming teacher rota to ensure all lessons are covered.
• Recruit swimming teachers and manage the Learn to Swim framework.
• Lead on developing relationships with Groups, Clubs and Schools locally.
• Drive strategic workforce development to support programme delivery.

Responsibilities

• Organise the swimming teacher rota and ensure lessons are covered by authorised staff.
• Oversee recruitment and management of swimming teachers.
