Job summary

Staffline are recruiting for an Area Security Officer to join the G4S team at a well known site in Cardiff. You will also support with other contracts in the Cardiff area. Applicants must hold a valid SIA licence (Door Supervisor) and a Full UK Driving Licence.

You will patrol the site, control access, monitor people, respond to incidents and maintain security standards across sites. Benefits include paid holiday, pension, life assurance, healthcare, and SIA licence support.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for an Area Security Officer to join the G4S team, working for a well known-site in Cardiff! You will also be required to support with other contracts in the Cardiff area.

Contract Information

• Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
• Hours: 42 hours per week
• Shift Pattern: A mixture of 8-12 hour shifts. Days & Nights
• SIA Licence: Door Supervisor

Applicants must have a valid SIA license and a Full UK Driving Licence to be considered for this role.

Applicants must pass financial checks, have no CCJs or IVAs, and must not have been declared bankrupt.

Due to the nature of the site, you will need to have resided in the UK for at least 5 years, continuously. You will also be asked questions on the telephone screen, in relation to the requirements for SC Clearance.

Your Time at Work

• Patrolling the site, on foot or by vehicle
• Access and Egress control
• Monitoring of visitors, staff and customers to the sites
• Responding to security breaches and medical incidents
• Ensuring all customer standards are met on each site

It is important to have great communication and customer service skills. You will also need to have strong IT skills and be able to use all forms of technology and software systems.

Our perfect Security Officer will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to always provide a friendly and professional service.
