Job summary

Staffline, in partnership with G4S, is seeking an Area Security Officer covering sites in Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester and Basingstoke. You will protect warehouses, offices and business sites, greet staff and visitors, conduct searches and patrol premises.

The role requires a Full UK Driving Licence, SIA licence (or training provided), and flexibility to work days, nights and weekends. Pay £12.71–£13.75 per hour, 42 hours per week, with benefits including pension, healthcare and travel

Qualifications

• SIA licence (security guarding or door supervisor) or eligible for training.
• Full UK driving licence with own vehicle.
• Flexible to work a varied shift pattern including days, nights and weekends.
• Must be aged 18+ and a confident communicator.
• Experience in security desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet staff and visitors while enforcing security protocols.
• Conduct searches where required.
• Patrol premises to deter hazards and incidents.
• Respond to security incidents in a prompt and professional manner.

Job description

We have a great opportunity to join the team as an Area Security Officer covering sites in Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester and Basingstoke. You will be required to cover multiple sites such as warehouses, office spaces and business sites of well-known companies.

Contract Information:

Pay Rate: £12.71 to £13.75 (depending on site rates)

Hours - 42 hours, this means you need to be flexible to work Monday to Sunday, as well as covering day and night shifts.

SIA Licence - Security Guarding or Door Supervisor

You must have a Full UK Driving Licence and your own vehicle to be considered for this role.

Your Time at Work

As a Security Officer your duties will include:

• Meet and greeting staff and visitors and ensuring they adhere to the required security protocols
• Conducting searches where required
• Patrolling the premises
• Dealing with security incidents

Our Perfect Worker

Our ideal Area Security Officer will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. Good IT knowledge is also key.

You must be flexible and available to work on a varied shift pattern which will include days, nights and weekends.

It would be a benefit to have some security experience and your SIA licence, however, it's not essential, as we provide full SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence training.

You must drive and have access to your own transport.
