Job summary

G4S, in partnership with Staffline, is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard a site, people, and assets. The role requires a valid SIA licence, a checkable history, and excellent customer service. You will conduct CCTV monitoring, patrols, and visitor induction, with flexible day, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• SIA licence is required.
• Checkable personal history including periods of education, employment, travel and unemployment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Smart appearance and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Reliable, proactive and flexible in a security operations role.

Responsibilities

• Prioritise safety, security and service of the site, staff, car parks, customers, client and property.
• Be polite, caring and understanding when supporting employees and the public.
• Manage conflicts in line with training and policy guidelines.
• Maintain attention to detail and monitor for security risks.
• Induct visitors, monitor CCTV, conduct regular patrols and perform ad hoc duties.

Job description

Contract Information:

• Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
• Hours: 12 hour shifts
• Shifts - Days, Nights, Weekends - full flexibility required to cover shifts Monday to Sunday
• SIA license - Door Supervisor or Security Guard - Must be able to drive and have your own transportation

Your Time at Work

• Prioritising the safety, security, and service of the site, its staff, car parks, customers, our client, and property.
• Being polite, caring, and understanding when supporting employees, guests, and members of the public.
• Managing situations that may involve conflict, in line with training and policy guidelines.
• Maintaining attention to detail and being alert to any changes that may indicate an increased security risk or unusual situation.
• Inducting visitors, monitoring CCTV, conducting regular patrols, and performing any other ad hoc duties as required.
